Influences

I have been influenced by many musicians over the years but my most influential are probably the following

• Ben Webster with his simplicity and strong breathy tones.

• Wesley McGoogan who shot to fame when his soulful solo in Hazel O'Connors' "Will you" hit the charts in the 80's.

• Boots Randolph and his "Yakety Sax," made famous as Benny HIlls theme tune.

• "Blue" Lou Marini with his hard hitting solos in the film "The Blues Brothers."

• Candy Dulfer stood out with her great funk style, not to mention her looks!

• David "Fathead" Newman another great player of both baritone and tenor.

• Ray Charles. One of the finest musicians that ever walked the earth.

• Pete Thomas. I only discovered Pete about three years ago when I found "The Cafe Saxophone." Since then he's become one of my biggest influences. Thanks Pete!
